Farewell to you

I feel like I've stated my mind and got everything across to you that there is to get across, so I really don't need to write this blog anymore. I think somewhere in the back of your mind you know it too.  Human Nature states that we are selfish people and if you've been reading this blog, you obviously know I think we are selfish. Selfishness; it's a hard quality to admit you have. Even for me it's hard. Here I am assuming that people are listening and agreeing with me on my opinions (which you should because they are true) when I don't know if they really are. But my views are right! You have to LISTEN to me people! The Brits didn't listen to me, but they didn't know what they were talking about. I am right! Human nature is bad! As humans,we are bad and selfish people. We can't escape it. Humans are selfish on purpose, it just comes naturally. Those selfish thoughts are put in our minds by human nature. Self preservation is the only way to ensure survival. So live long and prosper people, it's the only way to go. Fare thee well and good luck.

  1. Hobbes,
I think you are way too pessimistic. Your view of humans is way too critical. Have you ever met a nice person? Of course you have. There are nice people in the world that aren't selfish. I know lots of kind and nice people in this world. I realize I don't know everyone in the world and therefore can't say everyone is nice, but humans do have the capability to be good. Unfortunately there definitely are some very selfish and egoistic people in this world, and I feel people think that humans are bad because only the bad people get attention. Every time I watch the news there are always new reports on what bad things people did and it depresses me. Very seldom do I see good news being reported on the news. There are good people out there that should be acknowledged for their good deeds. I know you would retort that they are only doing those good acts because they only want to look good, but I disagree. People are acting to solve the evil in this world because they are sick of it. Maybe you would call that selfishness (they are only acting because they want it gone) but I call it human responsibility. What ever happened to looking out for others? Sadly the concept is almost gone in this world, but those people still believe in it. But I still believe in it. There is nothing better than the feeling you get after helping people. I think you are so pessimistic because you were jipped or or were shown great acts of selfishness as a child that led you to these horrible theories. Take your theory of government. If one person has all the power in a kingdom or country, they are bound to be hated by all in some way or another. You think people are selfish, so how would you feel if your brother was king and you got zero say in anything? Jipped right? He could control anything, and so you would come to hate him. This is the way it would be for any leader. Shared government is the best way to have power because it is spared evenly. If we the people elected these leaders in the way we want to be ruled, don't you think that everyone would be happier? I do. Take America for an example. It's a democracy and it's working pretty darn well (it could be better, but it could definitely be worse).
So, sorry to completely contradict everything you've been saying, but I feel you just aren't correct. You judge people. And it's funny, one of the first things we learn in school is not to judge people. It is a basic step in our learning to not judge people because it's considered rude. Maybe it's just the time that's changed society's view, but I'm pretty certain that human's aren't selfish.
